The Content of Heavy Metals, Arsenic, and Aluminum in Mint Leaves and Products

چکیده
Mint is a medicinal herbal drug; and its leaves are also widely used in the food cosmetic industries. Medical literature states that mint naturally resistant to toxic elements capable of accumulating them significant amounts. The aim study was compare heavy metals, arsenic, aluminum contents products. Materials methods: covered peppermint leaves, tinctures, oils, as well teas dietary supplements made different varieties mint. Elemental analysis performed according procedure inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) developed by authors. Results : authors studied compliance experimentally established products requirements Russian foreign regulatory documentation. Nonparametric Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated characterise interaction between chemical elements. Conclusions arsenic may exceed limit given State Pharmacopoeia Federation, 14th ed. It supposed increased not result anthropogenic factor, but specific characteristic this plant. demonstrated synergistic absorption aluminum, iron, vanadium, copper zinc manganese had an antagonistic effect on nickel, lead, cobalt
